This salsa is a smoky and fiery tomato and red pepper sauce, originally from Madrid. Tomatoes and piquillo peppers are combined with garlic, smoked hot paprika and cayenne pepper to create a spicy hot sauce. The rich heat makes it perfect with fried potatoes in the classic Spanish dish, 'Patatas Bravas'. Serve it also with barbequed roasted meats and vegetables - or in pasta sauces and casseroles.
Winner of Gold in the 2022 Great Taste Awards. The judges said: “Good initial impact which follows through in flavour. The taste is well-balanced and the ingredients combine well together and it is not too spicy. The product has a great colour and a rich, smoky smell from the paprika.”
